Chocolate

Chocolate is an Otter Rex. She is 3 years old and is due to be spayed during February. She came into care as she was due to be put down. The owners claimed she was aggressive, but she was just misunderstood. She doesn’t like being picked up, but thats getting easier now she has started to trust her fosterer.

We think the combination of a small hutch, no exercise, no contact and not being spayed are what they took for ‘aggressions’. She is actually a lovely girl who loves to be stroked when you have her out on your lap. We are looking to rehome her with a neutered male bunny.

Ellie and Tilly

Meet Ellie and Tilly - these 2 girls are both around 6 months old but are not sisters, they both came from pet shops. Ellie is the black and white, Tilly is the ginger and white. At 6 months we are their 3rd home, it’s so sad to see such young animals unwanted twice in their lives already.

They haven’t had much handling up to now so are quite nervous still. We will be working on that but we need a loving and quiet new home for these girls to come forward and show them they are wanted by someone.

Nibbles and Mitzy

Nibbles and Mitzy are a female pair. Nibbles is a smooth haired ginger and white and is 15 months old and Mitzy is an 11 month old crested agouti tri colour. They are friendly and will suit a mature family. They haven’t had the best care up to now and were very out of shape due to a poor diet and lack of exercise.

They are now looking a lot fitter and have lost their piggie bellies with some good food and exercise. We’ll continue to get them into shape but can you offer them the loving home they deserve?

Fudge

Fudge was from an unwanted litter destined for a pet shop. He is currently 10 weeks old. He was the only male of the litter so has had to be separated from his four sisters so we don’t have anymore unwanted bunnies to cope with. We are looking to rehome him with a neutered female under 2 years old preferably. He can’t be neutered yet so a neutered female is his best option, we are not looking to rehome him alone.

She has been in care since 17-10-08.  She is a very friendly little girl, she is always very welcoming when you go to her, She is very loving and is always happly to have a cuddle and stroke. When she came in the lady was very sad to leave her but her daughter was no longer interested in her. She took a little time to gain my trust but is now happy in my company. She has had some tummy problems in the past but this has been solved by giving her a diet of excel pellets and hay. This little girl is very special and has her own special personality and will be missed when she goes to her forever home. We would like to rehome her with a neutered male.

    Jessie

Jessie has been in care for over 6 months! Jessie is a black and white Dutch rabbit. She is approximately 5 years old although she actually acts like a 2 year old. She has lived the last 5 years in a tiny hutch with little love or attention.

    rspcawalsall_jess.jpg

Her fosterer says “She is a very friendly rabbit who loves lots of attention. She is not shy now that she knows that she is not in any danger and quite willing follows you about to be stroked.” We want to rehome Jessie with a neutered male for the companionship she so deserves and seems to be craving.

    Sandy

Sandy is a Lionhead cross Dwarf lop female aged approximately 3 years old. She has come back into care as she couldn’t get along with the last bunny she was rehomed with, he was very timid and she a bit too much woman for him. She has slight hearing problems but that doesn’t seem to bother her at all. She needs a confident male to keep her warm on these cold winter nights. Do you have a male that can make Sandy into a good little bunny wife?

    Tess and Gypsy

Meet Tess and Gypsy, they are 8 months old. Gypsy is the black and tan female and Tess is the grey and white female. Tess is very bold and Gyspy is catching up to her sister in the boldness stakes, she’s quite the live wire! They will do really well with plenty of TLC and love.

These two bunnies came from the same property as Thelma and Louise. We are looking to home them separately, each with a neutered male. Can you offer them a new life?

    Thelma and Louise

Thelma (black) and Louise (fawn) are two female English rabbits aged approximately 2 years old. They came into care 18-10-07 as unwanted pets and are inseparable. They have been pushed from pillar to post so we need to find them a permanent home soon.

    rspcawalsall_thelmaandlouise.jpg

These girls don’t appear to have had much of a life before they came to us, stuck in a cage with barely enough room for one rabbit let alone two. When let out in the garden their run was not much better. They didn’t even have names when they first came to us.  Both girls have been spayed.

Thelma seems to have settled in well and appears to be at ease in human company. She is happy to be picked up and handled. Louise is a special little bunny who still needs lots of time spent with her to ease her back to the fact the humans are not the enemy. She has already started to become accustomed to the fact that I won’t hurt her and does no longer charge round the cage when it is opened trying to hide.

She does however give a nervous little grunt which is quite funny to hear. Both Thelma and Louise appear to be more secure being held than you would think and are happy to run about in the garden. These bunnies will make lovely pets to somebody, who has got lots of time and love to give to them.
